Raise an Eyebrow to the New Year

I have at least one goal in 2010 and that is to grow out my eyebrows. I know, that sounds like a not so difficult accomplishment, but believe me it really is. Back in, oh, I don't know, 1980, I overplucked my eyebrows and from then on it has become a constant battle between my tweezers and my OCD. I will, with good intention, try to keep from plucking, but those hairs that grow everywhere else besides in the actual brows get the best of me. The other day at the hairdresser, as I sat all foiled up, a woman was getting her brows "done". When she sat up and I saw the two very black brows (sort of like check marks) that were drawn on her forehead, I had to hold myself from drawing back in horror. I do not want that, EVER. So, I have read about how to grow out your eyebrows and now feel prepared to do so. I only had to remove a few strays this morning.....
I would like to say how absolutely beautiful my daughter Amber is. I know, those who know Amber already agree. But I am not talking about physical beauty (even though she has that). Today when talking to her on webcam and she was holding Teagan and showing me how Teagan watches Baby Einstein, I couldn't take my eyes off of Amber. She looked so happy and her laugh just melted my heart. I love you Amber. You are such a wonderful mommy!
Tonight is New Years Eve. We will say good-bye to the year that brought us our first grandchild, & the year Carter started his senior year in high school. There were medical issues in 2009 where I had MRIs, blood tests and outpatient surgery. We spent time at Patty's lakehouse with a newborn Teagan in July and then returned for sister's weekend in Sept. I played a lot of golf with the ladies and had Friday date golf with Todd and the Taylors. I spent many days in McKinney being "grams" and loving every minute of it. There were worries this year about the economy, our freedoms and where the country is headed. We purchased the land in Crosby county (God's country)this year and can't wait to start making memories out there. How truly blessed I am. Good-bye to 2009 and may God continue to bless us in the new year!
